The role

As a Merchant Credit Analyst at Kustom, you'll play a crucial role in safeguarding our merchant portfolio by conducting thorough financial analysis of our largest merchants. You'll be part of our growing risk team, helping to build and maintain robust monitoring processes as we transition our risk operations in-house.

Things you'll be doing

• Analyze financial statements and assess merchant financial health
• Monitor and evaluate financial trends and business sustainability of major merchants
• Manage regular financial statement collection and review processes
• Develop and implement risk assessment frameworks
• Collaborate with commercial teams while maintaining strong risk principles
• Help develop the next-generation counter-party risk monitoring framework

Skills and experience you'll need

• Strong financial analysis skills with experience in reading and interpreting financial statements
• Background in credit risk assessment, preferably from another payment service provider, fintech, or bank
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey risk decisions
• Experience with risk monitoring systems and tools
